Welcome to Amateur Astronomy in North East Victoria!

 

Humans have long gazed toward the heavens, searching to put meaning and order to the universe around them. Although the movement of constellations — patterns imprinted on the night sky — were the easiest to track, other celestial events such as eclipses and the motion of planets were also charted and predicted.

 

TADAC was formed in 2019 by a very small group of individuals who all enjoy the wonders of the night sky. From very humble beginnings we now have access to our own observatory and an 11.25inch Celestron telescope so that we can share our interest and passion with all of the community and surrounding district!

 

Our club is truly a community project to bring people together under the night sky in North East Victoria in the township of Tallangatta.
